By far the worst 20 minutes I've spent on a marketing video

Geesh...

When will they get it.

Being that I'm the marketing maverick I find myself checking out what's going on in the marketing world on a regular basis.

So today, as usual..my box was flooded with offers about new products.

Now it's not an easy choice to choose which piece of garbage i'm gonna watch next but, I do my best to find something good to take away.

Not today.

I watched a piece about some stunt that was supposed to produce fast cash. But unlike the rest of the hookers out there who are simply prostituting themselves, this john tried to use a more subtle angle.

He didn't promise big money..

No fancy cars...

No fancy houses...

Nope...

Just $200 to $500 a week.

How nice.

A low baller.

However his video was a pure waste of time and air.

I couldn't even finish watching it.

It was just pitch after pitch.

"Oh I won't be showing you how to make money on ebay"

"I blew a lot of money until I finally found this technique that works"

"And I'm going to show you how to do it just as soon as you sign up and purchase my little course"

Blah blah blahhhhhh.....

Listen..

If you want to sell products in today's economy, you've got to get off your high horse and give up some dam value first.

Stop trying to hide behind your email.

A better idea for this little code pusher would've been to show you how to make $200 - $500 first for free...

To deliver some value first so that he doesn't get label as just another product of the month freak.

I think the name of the product was fast cash or something like that.

That's your warning right there.

What sales today is value.

Products...nobody wants your freaking products. they want to know that the value you're giving them is worth more then the money it will cost them to get it.

Do that and you'll have the sale.
